His sister (played by Hara) is of course attending. She is a contemporary lass and a skilled worker in Osaka however and is late for the party. She arrives wearing a hat, which is deemed improper or disrespectful. The bride's family, especially her mother and grandmother, dislike her. The bride's family are pharmacologists and well off. They are also arrogant as a result. They are also set off because the party was not as glamourous or lavish as they had wanted as it is no longer is de rigueur to have grand parties.
